So the Teenage Fanclub tour that we joined for 12 shows was great. Not only have there been TFC songs stuck in all our heads for weeks now, they just don’t get old. Super harmonized goodness. I would say they sound way better than back in the old days when last I saw them which was, um, on the Bandwagonesque tour. But those were different times….
Highlights were the first New York show at The Bowery Ballroom. What great energy from the crowd, and an overall great night hanging. Radar Brothers think that the guys from Teenage Fanclub are pretty much all-around nice gentlemen, and dare I say a group-to-group bro-mance may have been formed…ok maybe not.

RECORDING…!
We’re in the middle of recording for the new record! It’s going great so far. Lots of dual-studio action, analog tape, and inspiration in all forms (see above photo…”Be Here Now”, “In The Studio with Michael Jackson” by Bruce Swedien, “1000 Record Covers”, and reels of old Quantegy/Ampex 499 and a new reel or two of ATR). As this is turning out the be the largest line-up of Brothers yet, (and maybe sisters??…who knows) it has been dubbed the RADAR BROTHERS FAMILY MAGNETIC. We like it so far. We’ll see if it has legs. Dan and Stevie have been living on the east coast (Brooklyn and D.C.) so the tracking has been fast and furious and dare we say, on point!
Since the last record, the line-up has increased to include Dan Iead (guitars), Ethan Walter (keyboards, guitar), and Brian Cleary (keyboards), in addition to Jim Putnam, Be Hussey, and Stevie Treichel. We’ll see who turns up for the live shows. It’s one big magnetic family!
